I just finished up a couple late-winter projects - a mantle clock for myself and a set of coasters for some friends of mine. The coasters project was an interesting one - my friends had to cut down a large apple tree in their backyard last year. It was a favorite of theirs and they were sad to see it go. The offered me some of the wood from the tree and I was able to fashion a set of apple-shaped coasters out of it, along with a mini apple-crate style container for them. It was quite satisfying to see their reaction to the gift, as they did not know I was working on it.

I don't know what may be next. I do plan to build some more game tables for my nephew and his hobby / gaming store, but I am not sure when that project can start, as I am also starting to look around for a new home with a bigger space for my shop. Stay tuned and I'll share whatever news I have on this front.
